Hey You,
So things have been rough, matter of fact right from the start, I know.
Days have been tough, to many days with a broken heart, I know.
The tears have fell enough to probably start a pond of your own, but I want you to know, you were never alone.
I know you have physically hurt yourself, filled with so much doubt, screamed and cried at God to just let you out.
Out of this life, out of your pain, asking God “why” as you contemplate swerving into the oncoming lane.
When your reasons to live were taken and left you with nothing to do, but bury the truth that you let down the best that has happened to you.
When you’d rather be angry with yourself for all the wrong that has been done, you hardly where angry with the ones who caused it, hun.
Why,didn’t your parents love you, why did your mom leave, why couldn’t your dad just be a normal dad and not out chasing his fantasies?
Why did those men hurt you and take your innocence away, what was it you did that caused you to become their prey?
The night you stared out of the window of a strange house in the dark, looking at the stars, 5 years old wondering where you are?
To young to understand that the hate for yourself was set into motion the moment you were born, the moment your dad injected his drugs and called your mother a whore.
The dislike for yourself festered as the rejections year after year, from the ones who brought you into this world, to the ones trying to take you out, so you see your hatred for yourself was not created by you my dear.
It was all you knew of yourself, never taught to love yourself, never told that you were loved unconditionally for just being you, fascinated by the tv shows that had family that cared and wishing they would accept you too.
Hey, what about me? I have been here with you since day 1 in the womb, when God crafted you and gave your heart a tune.
It is us.
Who is “us”, you ask, no you are not crazy, there has always been a us. I am here to help you reach your goal.
Who am I, you ask, well that is disappointing to hear since with you I have been, and the yanking on your heart to fight harder my friend. It is you and me;me…your soul.
Your essence is me and your physical is you, and we are one, let’s make a pact, a promise, through God to reunite the two.
